(1913–?), editor, Opportunity: The Journal of Negro Life, a publication of the National Urban League (1938–41); special assistant to administrator, WPA (1936–38); field representative for WMC, WPB, OPM (1941–43); director, Regions I, II (New England, N.Y., operating primarily out of NYC), FEPC (1943–45); chief of the minorities section, UN, NYC (1946–64); deputy director, Division of Human Rights, Office for Political and General Assembly Affairs, UN (1964–at least 1975). Born in Maryland; BA, Rutgers University (1933).
