McNutt, Paul V.

Biography: 

(1891–1955) (D-Ind.), governor (1933–37); high commissioner to Philippines
(1937–38); administrator, FSA (1939–45); chair, WMC (1942–45). Criticized as “Adolph
McNutt” by NAACP, black press for arbitrary, dictatorial procedures when FEPC placed
under his control (1943).
